My 5x5

TV programmes

Ex On The Beach-

This show packs all the drama needed to entertain the everyday teen on a Tuesday night. With sexually charged carnage, resulting in young, self absorbed, attractive adults being brought down off of their high horses, this show is one of my favorites.

Geordie Shore-

Like Ex On The Beach, Geordie Shore throws a bunch of emotional, sexually fueled, young adults with dangerous and destructive personalities into a house together. And as you may expect the result is an emotional blood bath, and the pure drama it creates is why I like this show.

Family Guy-

I cannot even begin to discuss how ridiculously smart and outrageously funny is this show. Not only does this program far surpass most of the comedies on television, it has the guts to hit topics that most of the overly sensitive public shies away from. It's simply a quality show.

Live at the Apollo-

This show holds some of the best British comedians of all time, as well as serving as a platform for new and frankly hilarious new comedians to show case their talent on a huge stage. The result of these comedians getting together is as you'd expect... Comedy Gold.

Bad Education-

If you haven't watched this then give any of the episodes a go. It is just pure entertainment, there is not supposed to be a point to any of it other than to make you laugh, (which it repeatedly succeeds in doing). It is slick, has fresh tight scripts moves along at a pace and you don't really need any prior knowledge of the characters to enjoy each episode fully, and the main character is none other than the wonderful young British comedian Jack Whitehall.

Bands/Artists

Jake Bugg-

Jake Bugg has a unique style of voice, that of which I can't compare directly to any other artists. I think it is due to this why I enjoy listening to his music. His songs carry a deeper message that can be applied to the life and situation of the listener most of the time, this is revealed in the track by track feature in his Album 'Shangri La'. My favourite Jake Bugg song would probably be Slumville Sunrise.

Kasabian-

Kasabian are one of my favorite bands and artists due to their lively and unique style of British rock. However I think i have to be in a certain mood to listen to Kasabian where as Jake Bugg and Oasis's music I can listen to and enjoy any time of day, this might be because the change in intensity of their songs whereas Kasabian generally have one, relatively fast tempo of song. My favourite Kasabian song would most likely be EEZ-EH.

Oasis-

With a similar style to Kasabian and Jake Bugg, Oasis are probably the most well known band on my list, perhaps despite the Stone Roses. Oasis's laid back style in some songs and then lively in the next is something which i really like about their Music. My favourite Oasis song is either Supersonic or Some Might Say.

The Stone Roses-

Like Oasis another Manchester band, The Stone Roses, probably the biggest rock band to walk the earth are one of my favourite artists. The Stone Roses' unique style of music is like no other and in my eyes no other artists past or present can replicate their style of music to the extent that they themselves did. My favourite Stone Roses song is I wanna be adored.

Arctic Monkeys-

Another British rock band, my liking of this band was passed on by my father. Growing up I listened to the Arctic Monkeys alot, however with the release of their new album i am slowly getting back into listening to their music. However like Kasabian I can only generally listen to them when I am in a certain mood. My favourite Arctic Monkeys song would be When the Sun goes down.

Films

Goal! The Dream Begins-

This film was a highlight of my childhood. Growing up as most boys want to be a footballer this film was one of my favourites and still remains one of my favourites. As well as being about a sport that i like, the music and soundtracks in this film feature a lot of the bands stated above and would be one of the influences on my music tastes.

Goal II Living The Dream-

The sequel to Goal 1, this film like goal 1 his film was a highlight of my childhood. Growing up as most boys want to be a footballer this film was one of my favourites and still remains one of my favourites. As well as being about a sport that i like, the music and soundtracks in this film feature a lot of the bands stated above and would be one of the influences on my music tastes.

The Wolf of Wall Street-

The most recent film out of the five i have chosen, The Wolf of Wall Street has everything a teenage lad is looking for in a movie; sex, drugs, women, money, action and humor. This film ticks all the boxes for me.

Football Factory-

My love for football is something that i have stated above and although this film does not feature that much football, the hooligan and football casual scene is something which excites me and films similar to this could have been featured easily, these films include; The Firm and Green Street.

Spike Island-

My already declared love for The Stone Roses is amplified with this film which sees Mancunian teens try and get into The Stone Roses' Spike Island gig. I don't know what it is but i love this film and could watch it all day.

Actors/Actresses

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

Idris Elba

Tom Hardy

Leonardo Di Caprio

Cara Delevigne

All of the actors/actresses on the list are male and feature in series or movies that I like as well as Two being put in contention for the new James Bond role, and although the current James Bond, Daniel Craig, does not feature in this list I hope to see either of these actors filling the role when Daniel Craig has moved on. However I would slightly prefer Tom Hardy to Idris Elba. Despite Cara Delevigne not featuring in any TV shows, series or movies I like, her looks are enough to guarantee her a place on the list.

Places

Las Vegas

New York

Rio

London

Madrid

All of the places in the list above I could see myself living in, in the future. However there is one expectation; Las Vegas. I do not see myself living or staying in Vegas for a lengthy period, I feel that i would not be able to cope with the mad lifestyle for such a long time. Despite this it remains at the top of my list but perhaps just for a stag-do or just a holiday with friends.
